Vivo Y27s is one of those affordable smartphones talking about bringing in a sweet balance of all the style, the performance, and of course the functionality. If some person needs an entry level device by a user who really does the work, then this one does the trick quite well. With great feature-packed promises, the Vivo Y27s will bring along great experience at quite low costs. For all those who are of the opinion that Vivo has a strong hold on designing visually appealing smartphones, the Vivo Y27s does not derogate from this concept at all. Though the phone is sleek and very light in weight, its glossy back side has provided it with the premium feel even though it does not come from a high paying league. It has very strong plastic base material and polished finishing, so it’s very comfy to hold onto even for long hours. Generally, the buttons and ports were placed so that the power and volume button would be seen at the side of the device. There is also a dual camera module at the back panel of the device, but it protrudes a bit; however, it is not too much to bother you from having one on it. It sports a fingerprint scanner at the side of the device for easy unlocking and reliably.

But tucked away at the bottom of the Vivo Y27s is a 3.5mm headphone jack a luxury which seems to be growing increasingly scarce on modern smartphones but is extremely welcome by those who like to use wired headphones. There’s also a USB-C port for charging and transferring data, which would be another tick in its Favour if most budget smartphones didn’t still use old micro-USB. 

Display  

Vivo Y27s sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with the resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It is not Full HD but perfectly and brightly enough, even for daily applications, video, checking social networks, reading articles. Color display from the panel is enough for its price, almost sharp images and bright color. But it won’t be long-lasting in the battle of steeper models with OLED or AMOLED screens. Thin bezels to the screen, though a small waterdrop notch at top for the front-facing camera. In a way, the screen-to-body ratio does present an immersive experience for most viewers, especially when video or game content is intended for view.  

Performance And inside

The images clicked by the camera in good light conditions were an average affair but carried pretty good color accuracy as well as detail. Where it’s not exactly amazing with output, though, is in no way special.

Low-light conditions tend to fuzz everything out a bit; there’s a lot of grain and the subject matter gets lacking in detail. In most frames, the depth sensor is on; it indeed separates the subject from the background fairly well but does not do so perfectly every time since there are cases wherein the effect becomes unnatural at the edges of the subject.

The front packs an 8MP camera and houses the waterdrop notch. Selfies are decent enough to social media, end, and complete with beauty modes and filters to really enhance the shots. Not the best selfie camera in the market, but it’s enough for casual photography and video calls.  

Battery Life  

So, one of the major positives one can attach to the Vivo Y27s is that it arrives with a large 5,000MH battery. What this essentially translates into, therefore, is that the phone can easily last throughout the day without issues, even under normal usage patterns, either surfing, social networking, video streaming, or a bit of gaming in between. For the occasional user, that can translate into two days of battery life from a single charge.

The other plus in that range is that the phone also comes with 18W fast charging. Even though it might not charge as rapidly as that from a high-end smartphone with 65W or 100W charging, the 18W charger manages to do a pretty good job to start and fill up the phone from 0-100%, putting everything well within acceptable time frames for most of the users close to two hours.

It didn’t forget to add a feature of securing the existence of a double SIM slot that can use two numbers at the same time. The fingerprint sensor on its side unlocks the phone very fast and securely without making you have to type your password or pattern to open it. It is perfect to use as the second security feature when opening the face unlocking.

The Vivo Y27s is a good, absolutely low-cost device. The gadget is equipped with beautiful design, and a large display should be just enough to use your cell phone on a regular basis. Its battery life is impressive either, so in case you are looking for a phone with functionality at low cost, this one’s perfect. Not touting class-leading camera or display resolutions, the Vivo Y27s takes that deficiency in stride with great battery life and an interface as easy to use as an app store.
