Most Beautiful Realme X

The **Realme X** was launched in July 2019 and marked quite a big jump for Realme in putting forward a smartphone that was in every way pretty much a flagship except for the value that wasn’t even combined with most of the competitors. With a pop-up selfie camera, bezel-less display, and great performance, Realme X brought its avenue full of flagship features at a price severely cheaper than its rivals in this class. So, let’s get right into the crux of this device and find out just why it ended up as one of the most sought-after phones in this segment.

Design and Display

The display of the Realme X stands tall at **6.53 inches AMOLED** and has Full HD+ resolution of **1080 x 2340 pixels**. Use of the AMOLED panel is known to supply brilliant colors, rich blacks, and high contrasts – perfect for multimedia use. The screen is covered completely over **91.2%** without suffering at the hands of notch or punch-hole camera. Instead, the full screen remains intact for uninterrupted gaming and video-watching experiences thanks to the **pop-up selfie camera**.

The rear panel, although plastic-framed, boasts a glass-like finish that really does make for an excellent look and feel. Realme X is available in Space Blue and Polar White options and it also features a limited-edition Naoto Fukazawa-edition design with intricate onion and garlic details.

Performance

Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset-one of the mid-range processor options found here that balances performance and power efficiency. It sustains crispy graphics rendering thanks to support from the Adreno 616 GPU for graphics demands. Realme X comes in multiple configurations: either 4GB or 8GB of RAM coupled with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The device does not have a microSD slot, meaning that the storage capability cannot extend past the onboard capacity.

There’s a silky-smooth user experience, though, thanks to **Colorocs 6** running over top of the **Android 9 Pie** operating system. Realme interface is generally easy to use and full of functionality inside-more than this phone as gesture navigation, app cloning, and a smart sidebar can accelerate your way to connecting with your most-used apps.

Camera System

Another highlight of the Realme X is its camera setup. On the back, it offers a **dual-camera system**, built around a **48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor** and **5MP depth sensor**, which will be used to take portrait shots. The 48MP camera takes excellent images with good details and a good dynamic range. Low light support has been improved with its **Nightscape mode**, this helping to combine multiple exposures for better, brighter results.

Interesting features include the **16MP pop-up selfie camera**, made from a mechanical pop-up that only appears on demand. According to Realme, this motorized mechanism is also relatively hard-wearing, surviving up to 200,000 pop-up cycles. There are also AI-based enhancements for portraits captured through the front camera for high-definition selfies.

Battery Life and Charging

It packs a **3,765mAh battery** well enough to last the whole day in moderate usage. The major feature of the device is its **VOOC 3.0 fast charging** technology that utilizes a **20W charger** with the capacity to charge from 0 to 55% in as little as 30 minutes, thus totally eliminating waiting for long hours, not even at moments when one feels that he or she is running out of time.

Bonus Features

Realme X comes with an **in-display fingerprint scanner**, which, in 2019, was not quite standard for this price segment. The reader is fast and responding very easily, thus further securing the smartphone. It also comes with face unlock that works perfectly with the pop-up selfie camera.

Despite the pretty fair price, the device still possesses a **3.5mm headphone jack** mandatory for the customers, but lacks microSD card slot. Although the latter could be regarded as a drawback for those who have more applications and want the contents to go beyond what the internal memory can accommodate.

Conclusion

The Realme X almost offers a flagship experience without the price of a flagship. There are reasons for those top-line features: a pop-up selfie camera, an AMOLED display, and a 48MP rear camera, which make it more superior to quite a few competitors in its class. It seems to miss the feature of expandable storage but reliable performance, pleasing exterior design, and fast charging is good feature on its account.
