Beautiful Motorola One Action

A Closer Look the Motorola One Action was from 2019 and represented Motorola’s “One” series, destined for those in love with multimedia. Given the phone has an unusual camera setup and focuses on video shooting, it is quite an interesting prospect for action-loving customers and vloggers alike. Let’s get a little more personal with the specs, features, and performance, just what is so unique in this mid-range smartphone arena.

Design and Display

It will not get as bright or contrast-rich as the AMOLED screen, but the viewing angles on the LCD display are decent, and color reproduction is pretty nice. It measures 160.1 x 71.2 x 9.2 mm and weighs about 176g, comfortable to hold, though the elongated aspect ratio may take some getting used to for one-handed operation. On the back, the fingerprint scanner is sitting conveniently on the Motorola logo, which feels very intuitive.

Performance

The Motorola One Action uses Samsung’s Xenos 9609 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked up to 2.2 GHz. This one isn’t quite as powerful as chipsets by Qualcomm Snapdragon, right out of the box, but it did its job just fine for things like browsing, social media, streaming, or even some moderate gaming. Its 4GB of RAM means that multitasking is relatively smooth, while upping the ante with a slew of demanding apps or games, the odd slowdowns will be noticed, otherwise it handles reasonable tasks quite well given the price. It features 128GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card. That amount of storage will let users store a lot of media, and this storage is fairly useful since it’s orientated for video recording.

Software System

Android One but the Motorola One Action is also an Android One device, meaning it runs on almost stock OS with updates guaranteed for two years. At launch, it had Android 9 Pie, though since then it got its Android 10 and even Android 11 bumps. No bloatware, no superfluous customizations which counts for a lot cleaner, smoother experience compared to what its more budget-y brethren can offer. With Android One, you get Google services in action, like Google Assistant, along with frequent security patches. That way, the device would be more future-proof and something a user can bank upon if clean and efficient OS is his/her priority.

Camera

Action Packed One of the most striking features on the Motorola One Action is its rather unique camera system. It has a 16MP ultra-wide “Action Camera” that is custom-made for recording video. This is said to be unique because it records landscape videos while holding your phone in portrait mode-a godsend for vloggers and people who capture a lot of videos on the go. Employing quad-pixel technology, it takes four pixels into one for handling shots in low light. With the exception of that action camera, there’s a 12MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture plus a 5MP depth sensor for portrait mode shots.

The primary camera works just fine in sufficient light; the details are sharper, and colors are alive. Still, it is just like any mid-end phone; it stops working when the light starts getting low because the noise begins to manifest and the details disappear. Front camera: The front camera is a 12MP sensor residing in a punch-hole cutout on the display. The selfies are decent, and the software offers features such as Portrait mode and beauty filters that make operating the cameras a more enriching experience.

Battery Life

The Motorola One Action comes fitted with a 3500mAh battery, which, from today’s standpoint, may seem a bit on the humble side. But it does allow for good battery life to creep in, courtesy of an efficient software and hardware combination. A single charge gets you through the entire day on the phone: day in and day-out heavy use, like social media, video recording, gaming, and messaging. It supports fast charging up to 10W, which, though not revolutionary, does get the trick done in a couple of hours.

Connectivity and Extras One Action supports dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. For charging and data transfer, there’s USB Type-C on the phone; the 3.5mm headphone jack is intact for those still fond of wired audio accessories. Additionally, the phone comes fitted with an IPX2 rating that provides some form of protection against splashes; though barely close to being waterproof.

Conclusion

Actually, the Motorola One Action is a great choice for those with an intense video recording penchant, especially those who love shooting scenes with lots of action. Since it can shoot wide-angle landscape videos in portrait mode-something no other smartphone can pull off right now-the Motorola One Action separates itself from the rest. Add that to the clean Android One experience, good enough performance, and modern design what you get is a phone that’s very capable of serving the needs of a certain kind of creators and multimedia users.

Yes, for low-light performance or a user wanting more raw performance, there is indeed a better place in which to invest your money inside the mid-range segment. Features and design: With the price in mind, the Motorola One Action makes an excellent and trustworthy option for users trying to seize the moments of life on the go.
